About Us

Kriel Lodge  was created to bring comfort, meaningful travel, and conservation  together in one of Cambodia’s most important wildlife landscapes.

Guardians of the Northern Plains

Tmat Paeuy is a small community dedicated to protecting the Giant Ibis and the dry forests of Cambodia’s Northern Plains. Their long-standing conservation efforts have become a powerful example of how local stewardship preserves biodiversity while supporting community well-being.

Award-Winning Conservation Community


Tmat Paeuy is internationally recognized for its successful community-based ecotourism model. The community received major awards, including the Equator Prize (2008) and the Responsible Tourism Award (2007). for protecting endangered species like the Giant Ibis while creating sustainable local livelihoods.


Kriel Lodge continues this award-winning legacy by supporting conservation and community benefit through every stay.
