Tmat Paeuy before called Tmat Boey is a small community dedicated to protecting the Giant Ibis and the dry forests of Cambodia’s Northern Plains. Their long-standing conservation efforts have become a powerful example of how local stewardship preserves biodiversity while supporting community well-being.

Tmat Paeuy (Tmat Boey) is internationally recognized for its successful community-based ecotourism model. The community received major awards, including the Equator Prize (2008) and the Responsible Tourism Award (2007). for protecting endangered species like the Giant Ibis while creating sustainable local livelihoods.
